The Translation Studies Portal will offer a wide range of resources  designed to support capacity building in the field of translation studies. It will focus in particular on addressing the needs of educators and researchers in the Arab World, Iran and Turkey, but many of the resources available on the site will be of interest to scholars of translation and interpreting worldwide.

The Translation Studies Portal is supported by the British Academy as part of a capacity building initiative in the region. This includes a series of annual workshops, the first is to be held in Amman in February 2011.
